Prizes and Awards
The top three contestants will be considered for a marketing internship with us starting in January 2026, in addition to winning cash prizes:
- 1st Place: R2000 cash and your billboard printed and displayed on the side of the R21 highway!
- 2nd Place: R1000 cash
- 3rd Place: R500 cash
Submission Requirements
Please follow these guidelines to ensure your design can be professionally printed and easily edited:
- Billboard Dimensions: The final billboard size is 4400mm x17850 mm
- Scale: To maintain a manageable file size, please create your artwork at a 1:10 scale, making your artboard 440mm x 1785mm
- File Format: Submit your final design as an unflattened PDF.
- Vector Preferred: Your design must primarily use vector graphics (not raster/pixel-based images) to ensure it can be easily scaled up for print and edited in programs like Affinity Designer.
The deadline for all entries is 30 January 2026.

Terms & Conditions
1. Promoter/ Organiser
The promoter of this competition is Sino Plant, of 175 32nd St, doornkloof east, Pretoria, 0132, (“Promoter”, “we”, “us”).
By entering the competition, each entrant agrees to be bound by these Terms & Conditions and by the decisions of the Promoter, which are final and binding in all respects.
2. Eligibility to enter
2.1 Entry is open to all bona-fide individuals aged 18 years or older at the time of entry, resident in South Africa.
2.2 By entering, you confirm that you are eligible to do so and eligible to claim any prize you may win. We reserve the right to require proof of eligibility.
2.3 Only one entry per person is permitted, unless otherwise specified. Entries submitted on behalf of another person or bulk entries will be disqualified.
3. Competition description & how to enter
3.1 The competition invites entrants to submit original billboard design artwork in accordance with the requirements set out on our website and/or poster visible across various social media platforms.
3.2 Entries must be submitted between 24 October 2025 and 14 December 2025 (the “Competition Period”). Late entries will not be accepted.
3.3 To enter you must follow the submission instructions provided (e.g., upload digital artwork, meet file size/format, include your contact details, etc). Entries that are illegible, corrupted, tampered with, incomplete, or do not comply with the instructions may be rejected.
4. Prizes
4.1 The prizes available are:
- Cash prizes of R2000 (first place), R1000 (second place) and R500 (third place).
- Opportunity for an internship at the Promoter (“Internship Prize”), subject to the Promoter’s discretion and availability.
- Installation of the winning billboard design on a billboard owned/operated by the Promoter (“Billboard Prize”).
4.2 The prize(s) are non-transferable, non-negotiable and no cash alternative is offered, except at the Promoter’s discretion.
4.3 The Promoter reserves the right to substitute the prize(s) with a prize of equal or greater value if circumstances beyond our control make this necessary.
4.4 The Promoter does not guarantee that the Internship Prize will result in employment. The Internship Prize is an opportunity only; no further obligation to hire arises.
4.5 We reserve the right, at our sole discretion, to withhold any prize(s) if, in our view, the number or quality of valid entries is insufficient to justify awarding the prize(s).
5. Judging / winner selection
5.1 The winners will be selected by the Promoter’s marketing team. The Promoter’s decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into.
5.2 Winners will be notified via email/phone within 7 days of the judging decision. If a winner fails to respond within 2 days of notification, the Promoter may forfeit the prize and select an alternative winner.
5.3 By entering, you consent to any announcement/publication of your name, design, likeness and country of residence for promotional/publicity purposes.
6. Intellectual property, usage rights & licence
6.1 You warrant that your Entry is your own original work, has not previously been published, and does not infringe the intellectual property or other rights of any third party.
6.2 By submitting your Entry you grant the Promoter a worldwide, perpetual, irrevocable, royalty-free licence (including the right to sub-licence) to use, reproduce, publish, display, transmit, adapt or edit your Entry (and your name, likeness and location) in connection with the competition, any subsequent billboard installation, and any of the Promoter’s marketing, promotional or digital/print materials, without further payment or consent from you.
6.3 You retain ownership of your Entry (unless otherwise agreed), but you acknowledge that the Promoter may freely use your Entry as described.
6.4 The Promoter may exclude an Entry or withhold a prize if it reasonably believes the Entry breaches the above warranties or these Terms.
7. Data protection & publicity
7.1 By entering you agree that the Promoter may process and store your personal data for the purposes of administering the competition, selecting winners, fulfilling prizes and for future marketing (unless you opt out).
7.2 Where required, you consent to your name and country of residence being published or otherwise disclosed in connection with the competition and promotional activity.
8. Limitation of liability & indemnity
8.1 To the extent permitted by law, the Promoter, its affiliates, agents or subsidiaries will not be liable for any loss, damage, injury or expense (whether direct, indirect or consequential) suffered by any entrant or winner in connection with the competition or acceptance, possession or use of a prize, except in the case of death or personal injury arising from the Promoter’s negligence.
8.2 By entering you agree to indemnify the Promoter against any third-party claims arising from your Entry, including any breach of your warranties under section 6.
9. Amendments, cancellation or withholding of prize
9.1 The Promoter reserves the right to cancel, suspend, modify or terminate the competition (or these Terms) at any time if, in our reasonable opinion, the competition cannot be operated as planned (for example due to technical fault, limited entries, fraud or any other cause beyond our control).
9.2 In such event, entrants acknowledge that they have no right to compensation, employment or awards.
10. General
10.1 These Terms & Conditions (together with any specific competition notice) form the entire agreement between the Promoter and the entrants with respect to the competition and supersede any prior understanding.
10.2 If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid, illegal or unenforceable, it shall be severed and the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.
10.3 These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa.
